Gyokuhō Kiln – Chawan with White Plum Grove Design (with Tomobako)
Gyokuhō Kiln – Chawan with White Plum Grove Design (with Tomobako)
A hand-crafted chawan (tea bowl) from the Gyokuhō kiln (玉鳳窯), decorated with a white plum blossom motif on a soft neutral ground. The design evokes a plum grove (白梅林紋), a classic seasonal theme in Japanese art that symbolizes purity, resilience, and the coming of spring.
This bowl is finished with a subtle sheen and painterly brushwork, giving it both elegance and warmth. It comes with its original tomobako (signed paulownia wood storage box), which protects the bowl and affirms its authenticity in the Japanese tea tradition.
