Zeze-yaki “Autumn Night” Tea Bowl, Ōmi Zeze Yōen

A refined example of Zeze ware (膳所焼 / Zeze-yaki), produced at the Ōmi Zeze Yōen kiln in Shiga Prefecture. This chawan, titled “Aki no Yoru” (秋の夜 / Autumn Night), is richly decorated in iro-e kin gin sai, multicolored overglaze painting with delicate gold and silver accents.

The bowl’s surface is adorned with seasonal motifs, evoking the calm beauty of an autumn evening. Zeze ware is highly regarded in the world of chanoyu for its balance between elegance and restraint, and this piece reflects that tradition perfectly. Comes with its original kiri tomobako (paulownia wood signed box) and shiori (certificate/leaflet)
